The Mona Lisa, one of the world’s most iconic paintings, is set to receive its own dedicated space within the Louvre Museum in Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron announced this upgrade as part of a major renovation aimed at accommodating the influx of visitors, which reached 8.7 million last year. The new room will require a special ticket to ease crowding, as the current display often leads to long lines blocking access to other significant artworks. The last major renovation took place in the 1980s when the museum aimed to welcome 4 million visitors annually.
